Community Care Night @ Sisters of the Road

In line with our mission of supporting community-based health/wellness resources, we are promoting this ongoing free clinic being held monthly at Sisters of the Road Cafe.  Unlike some clinics we have hosted there in the past, it is not a Rosehip project–but one in which members and friends participate.  Please share with friends, acquaintances, and relations.

(From the Facebook)

“We are a free whole-person centered health clinic serving those of us living at the crossroads of economic injustice and other systemic oppressions.

We currently offer care the 3rd Friday of each month

Drop in and sign up for a 30 min session with a community-based provider. Care is free & all are welcome. The building is accessible for most wheelchairs and Spanish speaking interpretation is available. If you have other accessibility questions, please contact us ahead of time and we will attempt to accommodate.

We are an all-volunteer group of providers and unlicensed volunteers committed to offering underserved and exploited community members holistic health care. We are a small operation–and so cannot offer our services to all of Portland–but we invite friends and allies to spread the word about this resource in our community. We invite licensed and unlicensed people interested in volunteering to contact us.

The nonprofit Sisters of the Road has graciously agreed to host our clinic for the time being, but this is not a SOTR project and therefore please direct questions to facebook organizers. More contacts will be shared soon
